"Na-na, na, na, na".These few broken notes are super cozy. Which is obvious to the views of the craze that this series still arouses today.

"Key of the sacred seal, I am coming to appear.Me, Sakura, card hunter, I order it to you. Libère-ta puissance ! Carte du Temps ! » Faites remonter les souvenirs de cette série mythique et laissez ces derniers reprendre vie pour ravir le cœur des fans !

Cardcaptor Sakura: the Magical Girl 2.0

One of the first elements that comes in mind when we talk about the little card hunter is the fantastic and wonderful side.Magic and supernatural artefacts, a heroine with a big heart that saves the widow and the orphan.A hell of a character this sakura. She is the perfect archetype of the Magical Girl.

Magical Girl?Kesako?

It is important to make an aside on the "magic girl" side which is intrinsic to the world of the little card hunter. The history of the Magical Girl being quite long, we will be very succinct on the question.Already, you should know that the magicians we meet today are not the same as those of the 70s and 80s.Because yes, the first wave of the "magic girl" was the witch of the my beloved witch style.

Thus the very first Mahô Shôjo was Sally the little witch, a production of the Toei which was very successful.Seeing that the concept was working well, other young witches enchanted the screens for several decades.Among the Magical Girl first generation we can find Cutey Honey (also known as Cherry Honey in France) who was the only one not to be a child.Spells here, baguettes there, witches are appreciated until the early 80s, then nothing. The Mahô Shôjo no longer attracts, at least that's what some people think.

Indeed, the producers have changed two three things to bring the second wave to happen. One, we are no longer talking about witches but of magicians, it's different.Of two, they do not come from another universe, with the exception of Mahô No Princess Minky Momo - Gigi!- who comes from the stars.Mascot and magic objects are still there and allow the explosion of the magic of merchandising. And the ambassadors of this second waves are 4: Susy, Emi, Vanessa and Creamy. Each of them knew, between 1983 and 1986, to enchant the public. The first being Creamy, wonderful Creamy, then arrived Vanessa or the magic of dreams, then Emi Magique and finally Susy with magic flowers. The Magical Girls have then become icons again.

Sailor Moon and the new generation of magicians

Eternal Edition of Sailor Moon © Naoko Takeuchi / Kodansha Ltd.

In the early 90s, a new change in the Magical Girl appeared: the groups of magicians. This third wave was popularized by the successful series Sailor Moon written by Naoko Takeuchi. We follow the adventures of Usagi Tsukino - Bunny Rivière in VF - a young girl who will become Sailor Moon, the warrior of justice and love.To fight the various enemies that arise, she is quickly joined by other Sailor (the other warriors). Each represents a planet of the solar system. In addition, they are helped by TUXEDO MASK.

This title was a real revolution for the genre of manga shôjo as well as the genre of the Magical Girl.He was able to show female characters as iconic heroines that could protect the earth from evil forces.Sailor Moon perfectly shows that the manga with destinations of the female gender are not only centered on romance and thus allowed its development.Shôjo is not a sub-genre!

On the "magic girls" side, it is this title that popularized warriors also called Magical Sentai and which allowed the appearance of Magical Doremi, Tokyo Mew Mew or Chocolate and Vanilla for example. But beyond that, Sailor Moon also had an impact on the Magical Girl in solo who succeeded him of which Cardcaptor Sakura.

The Magical Girl in solo has a facelift

First edition of the small card hunter © Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

Thus, Sakura was one of the new post-Sailor Moon magicians. This therefore implies a transformation in the story but also in the very fact of being Magical Girl.Unlike witches who have innate powers, the magicians acquire them by means of different mystical artefacts. This remains true for Sakura Kinomoto.

And nothing but this summary exposes the novelty initiated with the Magical Senai, that of the quest and the fight of the good against evil.Indeed, the old generation witches and magicians did not have the primary vocation to save the earth.Sakura if.She made an error by reading the name of the Windy card and therefore uses her powers in order to capture these upper powers.Clearly we touch the action-adventure, which some believe inherent in the shônen, which is present in a large number of Magical Girl 2.0 and other shôjo manga.

No transformation!

One point to emphasize that this time singularized Sakura is that contrary to the rest of the production of Mahô Shôjo, here there is no transformation scene.Popularized as soon as Gigi appears on screens, young girls use their artefacts to go from the girl to the magician. We could even see a kind of metaphor for the transition to adulthood. This idea is even more visible with Gigi who literally becomes a woman when she uses magic. But at Sakura, this sequence is nonexistent. It is replaced by a different costume for each situation, each adventure. So when she fights the snow card, she wears clothes against the cold. And when she fights the little card (The Little), she wears Alice's blue dress in Wonderland.

This particularity slightly puts Cardcaptor Sakura from the rest of the production, making a kind of UFO even more interesting to remember.

Sakura: a clamp work

When we talk about Sakura, it is also necessary to stop on the mangakas group that gave it life. Also, more than quickly evoking them, we will really focus on them and their works and try to replace Cardcaptor Sakura among them.

More than an author, a collective

The CLAMP collective during the anime Expo 2006 (Photo by John (Phoenix) Brown / Wikimedia Commons)

Clamp is a mangakas collective that has been working actively since the late 1980s.The latter has evolved a lot from a dozen members to the composition that we know today from the end of the 90s.

Thus, we can find Satsuki Igarashi, Nanase Okawa, Tsubaki Nekoi and finally Mokona. The first is the attendant to the frames but it also takes care of the designs of the books a connected. We also know that she works as an editorialist for a Japanese magazine entitled Newtype.

The second is the group leader.Nanase ôkawa therefore takes care of the scenario, defining the number of pages and sketching the first drafts of characters. She also takes care of being the group's spokesperson. Then comes Tsubaki Nekoi. The latter is one of the two main designers in the group with Monoka. But unlike her colleague who drew the majority of series, Tsubaki specializes in SDs (Super Deformed) - caricatures and chibis.

We therefore have several very different profiles which have been able to give birth to unforgettable licenses of which Cardcaptor Sakura is an integral part.

A plethoric bibliography

Tome 1 RG collector Veda © Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

Since the collective started at the end of the 80s, it is certain that very many series have emerged in their feathers. And that is to say the least.Clamp now has 32 series to his credit! Many of them are considered cult: RG Veda, X, Magic Knight Rayearth, Cardcaptor Sakura, Xxxholic, Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle - and we pass.Clamp offered us different stories, whether in its narration, as much by the epic of certain scenes as by slices of lives, thus exposing their ability to produce various and varied things. The basic base is generally a manga shôjo, therefore for young girls, but they also happen to produce Seinen or Shônen. Thus, nothing seems to resist the four authors who still continue today to amaze with their talents.

RG Veda and Sakura: a connection

Their first series, RG Veda, already exhibits what makes the salt of any work of Clamp and is therefore a spiritual ancestor of Cardcaptor Sakura. This is an epic story that tells us about the adventures of Ashura and Yasha-ô whose fate is closely linked. They are a bit of the sakura and shaolande rg veda. With friends, enemies and lover. This epic saga (10 volumes) was published between 1990 and 1996 while the little magician began in 1996 to end in 2000.Although different from a large number of clamp series, we find everything that made the success of Sakura later, namely a little magic and mysticism, and a touch of darkness in addition.

RG Veda is therefore very important for the little card hunter who has been able to take advantage of one of the biggest names in the collective while bringing the sweetness and the scenes of the daily life that have amazed a whole generation.RG Veda was a real success, Sakura is her perfect successor.12 volumes of magic foundable at Pika, a slightly darker adaptation with action and adventure, a quality of quality and a plethora of derivatives.

Important themes for the magician and the collective

Souvenir (jap)animé #9 : Cardcaptor Sakura

As you have already understood, RG Veda also finds himself in Sakura. But the little card hunter also finds herself in a large number of the works of Clamp which take all place on earth. We put endearing and human heroes at the heart of the story and we follow their daily life. And we do not forget to sprinkle the whole life of the world to stay in standards of the genre.Because although classic in form and in narration, we find an artistic paw specific to this group of authors as well as themes that allow you to say each reading: "Ah, that's Clamp".

Drawing and narration

Toya, Sakura's brother © Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

Yasha-U alone © Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

But what makes us say that. The drawing ?This is indeed an essential element of the group that we owe to Mokona.Indeed, many characters and places make Clamp, be it the big wet eyes, the rounded faces for the youngest or on the contrary refined for adults or adolescents, a whole leg of Clamp is undeniable. They were able to reclaim the shôjo styles set up in the 70s and 80s and mix them with those of the old shônen with the tezuka to create a style that is specific to them. And you understand, Sakura is no exception to this rule, if only by the resemblance between Yasha-and Toya (Sakura's brother).

Good drawing, okay. But what else?Well, it is possible that narration is also a way of characterizing their work. Many of their stories take place in a realistic world, we have already mentioned it, and a supernatural event will upset the monotony of - or in our case of the - protagonist.Magic then takes place fully without the story becomes fantasy.Clamp can perfectly balance real / supernatural without any of the two taking precedence over the other.

Ecology

Snow, mirror and dream cards.© Kodansha

One wonders what are the themes that we find in Sakura.Well, we can note three very important people including ecology.Although this is subtle, it is still present since it is personified by the majority of clow cards, magic artefacts that control in fire, water, earth, air and'Other things (flowers, weightlessness, metal, and more). Thus, under cover of a manga mainly intended for the female gender, Sakura as a clamp story will offer a theme with several levels of more or less subtle readings.

For example, ecology is also found in X, it is even central there and is quickly explained. We see two camps that oppose. On the one hand there are the "Dragons of Heaven" and on the other the "Dragons of the Earth".Some seek to preserve nature and communion between it and humans, while the latter simply want to destroy humanity by providing Apocalypse.

Mysticism and magic

Another theme present in the story of the little magician is mysticism. The whole universe around clow cards is full of magic, supernatural phenomena, formulas and other magic objects. We also find that in X of course with the heroes and antagonists who have powers, in Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle - and XXXHolic with among others the character of Yuko, the witch of the dimensions.

Moreover, what is interesting to note, as the title in English underlines The Flower and the symbol 花 (Hana which means Fleur), is that Clamp deliberately chooses to mix the occult and magical arts of the whole world. We do not remain that in Japan populated by Yokaiet fighting onmyôji (or exorciser / exorcist). Thus, the magic objects of Cardcaptor Sakura mix both arts from the east and west.

Sexualities

Toya with yukito © clamp / kodansha ltd

If we linger for a few moments on the image opposite, we can see that Toya and Yukito are very close. And that's quite normal since they are most certainly in a relationship. And it is the whole genius of the Clamp collective that has fun writing romances that are not limited to heterosexuality shackles. They exhibit a great freedom of love by offering many characters to sexuality or ambiguous design. And this since the start of the group in the 80s and 90s.

Thus, like the two characters from Sakura, other boys, other girls can be attracted to a person of the same sex or even of both sexes.Another well -visible thing in the little magician is that Clamp likes to play on gender ambiguity. Thus Ruby Moon is asexual but wears female clothes and was therefore gendered as a woman in the French version. And this is not the only case, far from it.

For example, in RG Veda, Ashura, who has an androgynous appearance, has a rapprochement with Yasha-ô who could be akin to homosexuality.A similar bromance is also found in the characters of Fey and Kurogane of Tsubasa - Reservoir Chronicle but nothing has ever been confirmed or explained by the authors.Clamp is thus distinguished by great freedom in his themes as well as in the sexuality of their characters.

Cardcaptor Sakura: a manga, an animated, two universes

Cardcaptor Sakura Tome Double 1 and 2.© Clamp / Kondansha Ltd.

Since then, it has been explained that Sakura has been one of Clamp's works, that she is a magical girl type shôjo.We even explained some important themes that find themselves in the series but we still haven't been interested in the latter.

A manga classic

As already said earlier, this is an original Clamp series was published between 1996 and 2000 in Nakayoshi magazine.Sakura is cut into 50 chapters which were compiled in 12 volumes. The series was so successful that it was in its manga version or during its animated adaptation that a double version was also able to see the light of day.A Deluxe edition also published during the 20th anniversary of the license, just before the publication of a suite: Cardcaptor Sakura - Clear Card Arc.So many versions show that the manga has marked its audience which is still considered today as a must.

Beautiful characters

The main designer of this paper version is Mokona is expressed a universe for children through round and simple features that allow you to easily understand the action that takes place under the eyes. This contrasts representations of adults and in particular men with traits called Bishônen (literally "handsome") that mix both the fantasized beauty of foreigners, more straight and angular features for maturity or rounded for androgyny andSome games that are found in the Bishôjo, the pretty girl from Manga.

Sakura and Shaolan © Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

So it is possible to associate Sakura or Tomoyo with very young Bishôjo, Shaolan has a young Bishônen, Toya and Yukito with adolescent "beautiful boys" and Fujiwara to an Ikemen, handsome man!Because we remain in a clamp where the stereotypes of beauties are common currency.Kélo is drawn to him to make plush for very young children: a round face, big teddy ears, a very small mouth, two points to signify the eyes and a triangle for the nose.We do not forget the small wings and a lion tail and hop a cute object which can easily be declined in derivative product. And it's not even a joke, you will see.

Simple sets

Tome 1 extract.© Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

Regarding the sets, they are very simple. The authors have chosen to draw them on a few boxes to easily locate the action as in the bathroom for example by highlighting the bathtub. But the majority of time, the boxes are rather empty, focusing on the characters and their expressions. What emerges above all are the lines of effects like speedline to show speed or particle effects to accentuate an often positive expression. For example flowery frames or pallets can emphasize the joy that the box conveys.

In addition, this very refined way of locating the action also makes it possible to emphasize the moments of comedy, in particular with onomatopoeias as well as SDs which come to accentuate the gag.Clamp has thus created a cute and simple universe that has conquer the hearts of readers due to its effectiveness and its ease of reading.

An animate faithful to the original material?

Image taken from the anime © Clamp / Kodansha

We will say it right away, yes, the anime respects the manga rather well, but it still takes a lot of freedoms validated by the authors themselves.Because Clamp participated in the adaptation, and that is why the graphic style remains coherent from start to finish and that few major changes are involved in the story.

So we always follow Sakura Kinomoto (Sakura Gauthier in the VF), a 10 year old girl very good at sport and cooking but who hates math. She is the daughter of Fujiwara and Nadeshiko (Dominique and Nathalie) and Toya's sister (Thomas). In love with Yukito (Mathieu) and friend of Tomoyo Daidouji (Tiffany), she is a girl like the others until the day she discovers Clow's book.Following the release of the latter, she became the card hunter thanks to the key to the sacred seal and Kélo (Kero in French).

We also find the 19 Clows cards present in the manga, the transformation of the latter into Sakura cards as well as important characters like Shaolan (Lionel), Eriol (Anthony) or Kaho Mizuki (Katia Moreau). So we can say that everything is fine. But we must not forget that the manga has 12 volumes ... and the animated 70 episodes, so yes there is filling.

Lots of more magic, two less couples ...

One of the couples of Cardcaptor absent from the adaptation

The big difference between the two supports is mainly the number of cards. The animated perfectly adapts all those present in the manga but also creates a lot to have a total of 52 cards at the end of the series. There are therefore 33 cards specific to the cartoon which were drawn by the graphic designers of the adaptation and by Clamp, in particular Nanase ôkawa who scripted the majority of the episodes. She even knew how to add a lot of moments of action absent from the original allowing Sakura to convey both "so -called feminine values such as kindness and empathy" and "so -called male values like courage or force»».This rereading thus made it possible to move away from the manga where everyone is deeply nice and add some issues, especially in the fighting scenes against the cards.

Another difference between the two supports, some couples have not been transcribed on the screen.Indeed, no rapprochement is visible on TV between Mr. Terada and Rika (Sonia en VF).At best we see that the girl is in love with her teacher and idealizes her but nothing romantic on the side of the adult.Which is not the case with the manga where the relationship and the feelings are shown by the two characters. An identical passage Lie Eriol (Anthony) and Kaho Mizuki (Mademoiselle Moreau) in the manga, and this part was therefore also censored in the adaptation.

… And an additional character

Shalan cousin, meiling in traditional outfit © Clamp / Kodansha

To avoid any problem, the adaptation has therefore decided to modify these passages which are therefore only found in the paper version.By cons a character is not there: Meiling Li (Stéphanie).Indeed, Shalan's cousin was invented for the anime and many passages shows it as a comic element, especially when the girls approach a little too close to her cousin, her "fiancé".At least it is the will that the writers had in mind, because being jealous, possessive and capricious, the spectators do not really appreciate it.Interestingly, she is one of the characters without the most recurring powers like Tomoyo, and therefore fights cards with martial arts.

Arriving at episode 19 and leaving for 43rd, she still knew how to bring several interesting or even important moments since she herself has evolved during the episodes. She gradually goes from the plague to a girl more inclined to listen to her entourage and even becomes a real friend for Sakura.A Filler element which therefore served sustainably to the whole intrigue of the anime, even returning to the films or in the adaptation of Cardcaptor Sakura - Clear Card Arc.

Last difference with the original

Finally, several major information on the Kinomoto family does not appear in the anime, in particular vis-à-vis powers.Because yes, as in the manga, Toya and Sakura have many capacities since very young, the brother having developed them naturally while those of the girl have activated with the opening of the book. But where do these powers come from?We have seen that Shalan family members do not all seem to have them, proof is with meiling. But the first film proves that many have it.They are therefore transmitted by blood.

Without spoiler, we can tell you that the Kinomoto family is far from ordinary but the revelations arriving very late in comics, we let you discover them by yourself.

CARDCAPTOR SAKURA at the cinema

The Sakura Card Hunter series was so popular, whether in manga or on television, whether the beneficiaries Clamp and the Kodansha decided to produce not one but two films whose story is canonanimated. And for both a single watchword: sadness.

Sakura, card hunter, the film: the trip to Hong Kong

This film takes place between season 1 and season 2 of the anime. It even shows the capture of one of the last clow cards, that of the arrow. Thus, during the holidays and following a lottery won using fate, the little card hunter wins a trip to Hong Kong. She even finds Shaolan and Meiling there who had returned home. What was to be a quiet stay was quick to turn into a fight for survival.Especially with this mysterious enemy who seems to be linked to Clow Read, the creator of the cards.

This summary allows you to see that new adventures are waiting for Sakura outside Japan. We discover some interesting elements such as the connections between the Li and those of the Read.It is also in this film that we also see for the first time Shalan's mother, Yelan, who has a lot of magic powers, possibly more than his son.We also discover the sisters of the young man who also seem to have some powers but which are especially characterized by their love of the beautiful boys.

Image taken from the film taking place in Hong Kong © Clamp / Kodansha

Although having little consequences on the continuation of the story, this film has the merit of offering a very touching story, very sad also if we focus only on the antagonist. He knows how to explore games just mentioned in the manga to offer something new.The cards play a very minor role because we are mainly interested in the relationships between characters and the mysteries that surround the dreams of Sakura.Although interesting, it remains less important than the other film in the franchise.

Sakura, card hunter 2: the sealed card

The second film takes place after the end of season 3.It also serves as a conclusion to the cartoon by staging the reunion between Sakura and Shaolan after the latter left for Hong Kong. However, it should be noted that it is not canon in the manga and does not adapt the last chapter of the manga and thus weaves an alternative end which is sufficient for itself.

Image taken from the second film © Clamp / Kodansha

But what exactly is this film about?Well, as said previously, it happens a while after the end of the third season.Work at the Eriol manor is bringing to day a 53rd Clow card.Sad to be alone, she starts to recover the other cards to make friends.Meanwhile, Shaolan and Meiling return to Tomoeda for a few days. The reunion will be hectic.

Thus, the cards become very important, at the same level as the relationships between characters. We have a lot of very interesting moment, whether in psychology, in romance or in the fights which make it possible to perfectly conclude the saga.

The magic of merchandising

The Cardcaptor Sakura phenomenon has never weakened, whether during or after the end of the cartoon. This is really a series that has captivated its audience and has created a very loyal community of fans that bought and always buy products derived from franchise. And there are many, really a lot, and of all kinds which will delight young and old.

Reissue

Edition Deluxe de Cardcaptor Sakura© Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

The first products that come in the lead when we talk about the deductible of the card hunter are the reissues of manga.Indeed, the latter sold so well that the publishers decided to reissue the title not one but twice with a double edition and a deluxe edition for the 20th anniversary of the series.Fans can buy comics in several formats.Interestingly, the 2018 version offers new covers with the current graphic style of Mokona which is also found in Cardcaptor Sakura - Clear Card Arc.

Collectors, books and CD boxes

The animated series of the 2000s also had its share of boxes to promote the series. Thus, it is no less than 5 different versions that exist for sale. The first to be out is that of M6 Kid Video.Indeed, the French television channel has chosen to edit a physical version of the first episodes of the series by offering 4 DVDs as well as a box with the first 24 episodes.

Before giving in IDP rights, M6 Kid also produced 25 fanbook sold monthly at the newspaper merchant at Diamond editions, allowing to rediscover certain episodes while collecting clow cards sold with. Two artbooks and anime comics were also published by Pika in the early 2000s.

It is also during the broadcast on the French channel that the CD of Froggy Mix containing No Nagging (NA-NA, NA, NA, NA), the French credits, was sold.In Japan, many CDs including opening, Ending, OST and Chara Song have also emerged.Sakura is therefore also a great musical phenomenon.

Following the acquisition of the license, many other boxes have been created, allowing all the episodes until then exclusive to television.Very beautiful collectors packs are emerging at IDP.The films were also entitled to a physical version in the same publisher, continuing to fuel the fanbase of the little card hunter.

Cardcaptor Sakura: a range of toys

Like many successful cartoons, the card hunter franchise has also been declined in the form of different toys intended mainly for little girls.

Livre de Clow contenant toutes les cartes© Kodansha

Thus, it was possible to find a collar with the effigy of the magic scepter but also the same scepter at its original size.To complete the magician's outfit, costumes whose iconic ribbon pink dress were produced in series.

In addition, Sakura has come in kits, notebooks, pines, key chains, stuffed animals, carpets, ... The magic of merchandising had no more limit. However, among this set of objects, two stand out.Indeed, the publishers and creators we wanted to give a very special place to the Clow book.It was therefore chosen to create this object in several copies, the latter containing clow cards.A version containing Sakura cards has also emerged.

Sakura book and her © Bandai cards

Some video games have also emerged but remained exclusive in Japan. The Sakura-Mania has really taken all possible and imaginable forms throughout the recent years.Generally intended for young girls, toys were able to make you dream and bring the magic of clow. But other products for an older audience have also emerged: figurines.

Figurines

The latest derivative products that must be mentioned are the multiple figurines with the effigy of Sakura and his comrades.Nendoroid, Figma, S.H.Figuart, Banpresto, all manufacturers seem to want to offer their own card hunter. They can give free rein to their imagination since the young magician has dozens of different fighting dresses. We can therefore find the pink dress with emblematic ribbon of season 2, the pen of the credits of season 3 and many more.

There are also figurines from Shalan, Tomoyo, Kélo or Meiling but the little magician is the one who has had the most different variations. She has enchanted everyone in the past and still enchanting today.

The return of the series

A new manga

Cardcaptor Sakura has thus continued to make young and old dream. But in 2017 falls a new one that has the effect of a bomb.Indeed, the Kodansha and Clamp decided for the 20th anniversary of the saga that the little card hunter was going to resume service.Very curious about this new project, the community quickly knew that a new manga entitled Cardcaptor Sakura - Clear Card Arc was going to see the light of day.A new story was then about to start.

Cardcaptor Sakura – Clear card Arc tome 1© Clamp / Kodansha Ltd.

This new work takes place two years after the end of the first series. So there is an older but always so kind and very in love with Shaolan. She quickly met a new student: Akiho Shinomoto. In addition, the events that have recently taken place in Tomoeda show that his power seem to have grown up.She becomes the card hunter again that we have known and therefore fights new entities: the Clear Cards!

Always in progress, this new manga brings a lot of new things although the reader or the reader is not disoriented by the magic of dreams that Sakura now uses. The design of the cards is when it was rather successful in particular with their transparency effect which differentiates them well from the other two games. It's up to you to discover the secrets hiding behind.

A new animated

It was not a surprise for anyone but a successful series like Sakura had to adapt the start of the new manga. Thus in 2018 was born the adaptation of the Clear Cards arc. This new version is a sequel to the cartoon of the 2000s and begins by adapting the end of the original manga. We therefore forget the adventures seen in the second film which is nothing more than an alternative end.Sakura, Shaolan, Tomoyo and Company therefore regain service to fight mystical forces that come alive everywhere in Tomoeda. This suite available in SVOD at Wakanim is a real success. We see everything that made the success of the first series: endearing characters, magic and fight against cards.

We even find the magic formulas there. But unlike the famous "return to your original form of clow card, I order it to you" or "Card created by Clow Read, take your original form, me Sakura, I order it to you", here the little hunter mustuse a news.Regarding new forces that have never been tamed, the new formula therefore becomes "you who have no master ready me your strength through the scepter of dreams!Secure! ".

The only thing that can be disturbing is the new graphic paw of this animated.Vervous colors, a lot of particle effect already present in the manga and especially a fairly different chara design from the first series. We reproduce the new characters much more faithfully that Mokona draws everyone with more rounded contours as "rejuvenating".But after an adaptation time, you will find all the charm of the series of your childhood so go for it!

Cardcaptor Sakura est véritablement une œuvre incontournable de la japanimation et un classique du manga. Il renferme l’essence même des magical girl tout en y ajoutant ce qui fait la force d’une production CLAMP.Magic, romance, action-adventure, the little card hunter charmed us and will charm us for a long time.
