Cherbourg: Milagro, a new publishing house dedicated to poetry

Pierre Andreani and Paula Cohen arrived in Cherbourg in September 2020.They decided to launch their publishing house, called Milagro and dedicated to poetry.

Milagro means "miracle" in Spanish.It is also the name chosen by Pierre Andreani and Paula Cohen for their publishing house specializing in poetry.The couple settled in downtown Cherbourg just a year ago, in September 2020.

"It is true that at the start, we were a little seized by the local climate," joke these two southerners passed by Montpellier and Marseille.

Never came to Cotentin before, they landed for the studies of Paula, who joined to interchm: "I have the sea in front of the school, it's perfect!As for Pierre, he found work at the small vapor.

Once posed, the couple decided to resume an activity of publishing and dissemination of literary works.Three original books have already come out, even if they do not hide that these are small prints.

After visions, by Arvo Steinberg, and under the cranes, by Jos Garnier, Milagro Éditions has just come out of being in this world, of Alexandre Blaineau.

This is the first collection of poems by this author, who experienced a certain notoriety with his essay Les Chevaux de Rimbaud, published in 2019 at Actes Sud.

Paula and Pierre, who have forged in artistic courses, also work on their own projects: comics, literary journals ... In the meantime, you can find the works of their publishing house with blue schists and at Ryst in Cherbourg.
