Newsletter LeFaso.net When Rosine Coulibaly quotes Thomas Sankara: "You cannot accomplish fundamental changes without a certain amount of madness"

I was called in January 2016, by the will of God and the President of Faso, to serve as Minister of Economy, Finance and Development (MINEFID).

As I leave office, my gratitude goes to the President of Faso and the Head of Government for this honor and this privilege.

I salute the work of all these collaborators who have served admirably at my side, in our common mission, oh so noble and exalting! That of steering the economy, public finances, development management and regional planning.

I was particularly honored to work with two colleagues, I appointed Mrs. Edith Clémence YAKA to the post of Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget and Mrs. Pauline ZOURE, to the post of Secretary of State in charge of development of the territory.

I would like to commend the quality of the work done and the long hours of work under pressure of the formidable team of the cabinet (in particular the director of Cabinet, Mrs Clarisse MERINDOL/OUOBA) and the management team, under the coordination of the secretary general, Mr. Seglaro Abel SOME. It is in this synergy that MINEFID has fulfilled its part of the mission in the overhaul of economic and financial governance, for a Burkina Faso of our hopes.

"You can't accomplish fundamental change without a certain amount of madness." In this specific case, it comes from non-conformism, from the courage to turn our backs on old formulas, from the courage to invent the future. It took the fools of yesterday for us to be able to act with extreme clarity today. I want to be one of those crazy people. We have to invent the future”. By adopting this quote from President Thomas SANKARA, I salute, with respect, the invaluable contribution of each and everyone to the implementation of the various reforms and the achievement of the results which are to be credited to the department. .

Newsletter LeFaso.net When Rosine Coulibaly quotes Thomas Sankara:

To all my former colleagues in the outgoing government, I express my pride in having teamed up with them and for the challenges we have overcome together.

To all the technical and financial partners, I express my gratitude for the quality of the collaboration and the immense contribution to the work of structural transformation of the Burkinabè economy, for the benefit of the well-being of the populations.

To my family who had to undergo the diktat of the agenda of a minister of economy, finance and development, in a post-insurgency context where everything is a priority, but whose support has never default, I am infinitely grateful.

To all these anonymous people whose advice and words of encouragement have been the lifeblood of our daily actions, I express my gratitude.

"As soon as we arrive, the departure is looming", confided to us Philippe Labarthe dit Ylipe. we have served our Nation in this position.

As I leave office, I think with reverence of all the generations who have served this ministry admirably in different positions. I pay them a deserved tribute for the heritage bequeathed.

I salute the memory of all the lost workers. To their families, I express, once again, my compassion and my solidarity.

“Great minds have a purpose, others have hopes,” says Washington Irving.

With the conviction that goals allow us to push back the barriers of the impossible on a daily basis, I wish everyone to have a goal because "thinking boldly combined with an ambitious goal becomes a creative force", according to James Allen.

I wish an excellent mission to the new management team of MINEFID. May God bless Burkina Faso!
