Yvelines.Planet Coeur, the essential association in Montfortois

In Montfortois (Yvelines), everyone knows it!It has been 25 years that the Humanitarian Planet Coeur association has been working hard to make the daily life of thousands of people softer.

This structure, multi -clarity and apolitical, has around 50 benefactor members and 70 active members.Among them, the president of the structure, Gérard Patin but also Dominique Masse or Marie-No, Viviane and Anne.

"People know how to find us!"I even find bags of donations regularly in front of my home, ”says Dominique Masse.Because this is the mode of operation of Planet Coeur: recovering clothes, toys, linens, trinkets, childcare items ... and then organize animations throughout the year, at the rate of one per month, in order toto raise funds.

Meetings that have become essential in the local agenda of the inhabitants of Monfortois.Firs in clothing, concerts, pétanque tournament, Garden-Party, flea markets, dancing dinner ... demonstrations which bring together a large audience and which allow residents of the territory either to do good business, or to have a good time, all forthe good cause.

Twenty humanitarian projects

In total, Planète Coeur harvests each year, thanks to its animations and donations, around 100,000 euros.Money that is donated to around twenty humanitarian projects to the four corners of the planet: Madagascar, Haiti, India, Angola, Cameroon, Colombia etc.

As was the case with Viviane, who lived eight years in Colombia.It was she who chose to set up a project related to a religious congregation in Medellin to help pregnant women alone and on the street."For 25 years, we have been following this project.These women remain until the birth of their baby and, if necessary, a few years by registering their children in school that the sisters have created and administer.We are sponsoring about twenty mothers, ”explains Viviane.A nearby favela neighborhood also receives planet heart money.

The association also helps some structures in France such as Secours Catholique, the Reintegration Association Enme, in Trappes, or the Red Cross in Houdan.

But now, the Covid crisis has passed by there.Volunteers were unable to organize all their events this year.Only three out of ten.Result, the funds raised were fewer this year.

Volunteers are looking forward to normal life resumes its course.They are on the bridge to offer in the coming days, if possible, a pétanque tournament in Thoiry as well as a sale of household linen in La Tail-lez-Yvelines.

Looking for volunteers

Note that Planet Coeur is always looking for volunteers."Everyone comes to help when they wish.There is no obligation, "says Dominique Masse.He who manages handling, taking care in particular for the removal and transport of boxes and donations, would not be against the arrival of new blood."We are missing at least two pairs of arms.I am not alone but I have octogenarian colleagues to whom we can hardly ask to wear heavy things.»To good hearing ...
