Hydrogen peroxide: 4 clever and effective uses

newsIt is very well known in hairdressing for blonding the darkest hair as well as as a disinfectant. However, hydrogen peroxide allows uses that are probably less popular but very effective. Teeth, nails, flowers, clothes: here are 4 new uses.

Dental interstices

To whiten the interstices of your teeth, immerse your dental floss in hydrogen peroxide before cleaning your teeth. Do this every night if possible. Results will be seen after approximately two to three weeks of daily treatment.

Yellowed nails

Especially when a base has not been applied, it happens that the nails are yellowed (even red) after using nail polish remover to remove a varnish particularly rich in colored pigments. It's completely unsightly. How to overcome ? Soak your nails between 30 and 60 seconds in a bowl filled with hydrogen peroxide. Then clean the top of the nails with a piece of cotton wool or a cotton swab.

Cut flowers

To keep cut flowers longer, fill a vase with water and add a teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. Place the bouquet in the water. Cut flowers will last longer than in conventional water. Prefer oxygenated water at 10 volumes.

A burnt trace may appear during ironing, when the soleplate of the iron is too hot. To remove this stain, take a cloth large enough to cover the stain and soak it in hydrogen peroxide. Then place it on the burnt mark and iron with an iron set at medium temperature until the brownish mark disappears.
