Since the first broadcast of Koh-Lanta, Denis Brogniart will have seen parade of many candidates! Each season, there are indeed many of them who want to try the adventure to perhaps walk away with the 100,000 euros promised to the winner. However, there are many called for few chosen and therefore a major disappointment. But it must be admitted that participation in this program has something to motivate. In addition to living an extraordinary experience, it also allows you to gain significant media notoriety. In other words, the program can really make careers take off.

Thanks to a participation in Koh-Lanta, it is indeed the assurance of finding your face both on television and in the media in general and on social networks. A starification which quite naturally makes more than one dream of it even if for many it is not the main objective. Indeed, for some, it is rather an inner adventure in order to know more about their own personality. It's about pushing your limits and seeing how your body reacts in stressful situations. But, whatever the motivation of the next candidates from Koh-Lanta, they can already prepare for the worst. Recent in-game events have effectively proven that this is no walk in the park. On the island, they will have to deal with the sometimes extreme climatic conditions, the lack of food, Spartan living conditions and very limited hygiene. In other words, it is anything but a holiday resort.

However, despite this mountain of difficulties that future candidates from Koh-Lanta will have to go through, nothing seems to be able to really undermine their motivation. This is why they will still be very numerous to rush to the registration form this year. Moreover, Denis Brogniart has just officially kicked off this recruitment campaign, to say the least, special. Indeed, TF1 is looking for volunteers to go suffer on the other side of the world. And as you might expect: the site that allows you to register immediately experienced a big spike in activity.

Nevertheless, some Internet users were visibly very surprised when they discovered the conditions that must be met to participate in Koh-Lanta. While of course you need to be in excellent physical condition and able to travel for long weeks, there are also other requirements. Indeed, before even imagining being able to be part of the preselection, it is mandatory to provide the production with a photo of yourself in a swimsuit. A request that apparently does not pass with everyone.

Question of logic

Following the discovery of this point of regulation, one Internet user in particular expressed her anger in a tweet which suggests that it is not normal to to demand such a cliche: "Why do we have to send a photo in a jersey? There are people who would like to participate, but who are not comfortable doing it. A remark which obviously quickly made the emblematic host of Koh-Lanta react, who took the liberty of reminding this anonymous person how the adventure unfolds: “Because in Koh-Lanta, we spend a lot of time in a swimsuit ! No ? Beautiful evening ". A way of implying that this question was not entirely relevant even if on the merits, it is quite understandable. But in any case, it must be remembered that during the show, the candidates rarely wear clothes.

Generally, adventurers on Koh-Lanta find themselves in latitudes where the temperatures are rather warm, not to say scorching. This is why they are often in swimsuits in order to be more comfortable. It is also important to add that in the tropics the humidity can sometimes be very high. Therefore, the slightest t-shirt sticks directly to the skin and it becomes unpleasant. Another important point is that the candidates also spend a large part of their time in the water for various activities, in particular to find food in the sea. This is why the candidates from Koh-Lanta are rarely in three-piece suits or in a dress with stiletto heels!
