What is Illuvium?
Character classes
Illuvium offers five different character classes:

Affinities
Five affinities are available on Illuvium:
Depending on its affinity type, each monster inflicts or suffers hits. A Water Illuvial, for example, will do more damage to a Fire Illuvial and be weaker than a Land Illuvial. Ascendant monsters can be created by combining the five affinities, for example, Dust (Air + Earth) and Frost (Air + Water).
Attributes
Along with its class and affinity, each Illuvial has other attributes that determine its strength, speed, wounds, and health. The more you use your monsters in battles, the more strength they gain. Also, you can use certain items to enhance your character's abilities. You can either buy them or craft them yourself with crafting materials.
How to play on Illuvium?
Illuvium is an RPG game where players travel to different areas to fight monsters called Illuvials. Once defeated, these monsters can be locked in shards. The more these monsters participate in battles, the more power they gain. They can then be used to fight other players or venture into more dangerous areas.
Combat, which is not turn-based, is one of the main features that sets Illuvium apart from other RPG games. Indeed, each combat instance is an automated battle in which the player strategically places his monsters to counterattack his opponent. It is important to choose Illuvials that have good synergy and are effective against the designated opponent. Despite all the information we have so far, we will have to wait for the release of the beta version to understand exactly how to play Illuvium.

Each Illuvial targets its enemy at the start of the battle, then attacks them. Thanks to the attacks and the damage he causes to his opponent, he gains energy. When it gains enough energy and reaches a certain limit, the Illuvial can activate the ultimate ability, which is a special ability capable of altering the tide of battle. It allows you to inflict damage, strengthen allies, injure enemies or stun them. Finally, when a team is defeated, the fight ends.
Capturing enemies
In Adventure mode, players can capture defeated Illuvials when they win battles. To do this, they must use shards (fragments), which each have a different capture power. The chance of capture is determined by the monster in question and the power captured. If you succeed, the Illuvial is yours. It's also important to use more powerful shards when entering higher level areas within the game, as basic shards might not do the trick for you.
Special Capture Missions
It's still unclear how the Illuvials will be captured, or how the special missions will play out. However, it is likely that the fragment used to capture the Illuvials is aesthetically altered after a successful capture. Shiny, rainbow, and holo are rare captures that can differentiate your Illuvial from others. Each rare catch is a great addition to your collection and can even be lucrative.
Merger
On Illuvium, characters cannot evolve like in traditional role-playing games. However, the Illuvials are able to merge and create bigger milestones in their development.
There are two criteria to meet when fusing monsters. The first is that the player must own three copies of the same Illuvial. The second is that each Illuvial must have reached their highest level in combat.
The more powerful and valuable a fused monster is, the higher the price of ILV. If you want to make big gains on Illuvium, this should be your main goal. Train and strengthen your monsters, then sell them for ETH. To earn more combat bonuses, players have the option of teaming up with another Illuvial. This is a semi-permanent option, so you will need to think carefully before deciding.
Experience and different levels of play
Monsters can gain experience and level up with each battle. This is how two monsters of the same type can stand out. Also, it's not a good idea to keep an Illuvial in a shard, since it can't gain experience and level up if it's not used in battles. Finally, be aware that Illuvials who are defeated in a jungle fight will revert to their shards and will need time to recover.
That said, there are several ways to revive your Illuvial if you don't want to wait, including paying the instant heal fee.
Resource collection
The fight does not only depend on the power of monsters, as players can use multiple tools to win.
Indeed, the tactics adopted by the player is one of the most important elements on the battlefield. Each player holds futuristic weapons and protective armor. Your armor and weapons emit an aura of class and affinity when infused with crystals and gems.
To craft weapons, you will need to find and extract resources from your environment. However, adventurers will always have the chance to take on new challenges. Indeed, players can test new items and strengthen their characters, which allows them to win more powerful and rare monsters.
Travel around the world
The Illuvium universe is vast. Obelisks scattered throughout this world allow players to instantly travel from one place to another. They also give them the opportunity to access different regions and encounter new monsters. As the world grows, more obelisks will become available. Obelisks can also protect against flooding. Small towns are built in a dome.
Rapid movements occur between “safe zones” and are considered “extensive”. Towns will likely house item vendors and purchasers, a monster healing system, and PVP battle locations.
Game Modes
There are three game modes on Illuvium:
In the story mode, players will be able to explore the world and find new Illuvials who will fight battles for them. Shortly after this mode rolls out, Battle Arenas will be activated.
In the arenas, players can compete in order to integrate the ranking.
The Ranked Arena will feature skill-based combat between players. These standardized levels are based on a points system.
Leviathan Arena will not have the same restrictions as Ranked Arena. This is where players can show off their collections and win or lose battles and cash. Spectators will also be able to place bets on matches.

Layer 2 integration
Illuvium benefits from the security of the Ethereum blockchain. Additionally, the network uses Immutable X (IMX), a Layer 2 solution designed for scaling applications that use NFT functionality.
Illuvium leverages the capabilities of ImmutableX to allow players to trade and create NFTs with virtually instantaneous transactions and no gas fees. Finally, note that players have full custody of their assets when using IMX.
IlluviDEX
Illuvium has a decentralized exchange (DEX), called IlluviDEX.
You can use this platform to trade Illuvial assets, including NFTs. The exchange charges a 5% commission for each sale, and pays it to the ILV staking reward pool.

Illuvium's Yield Farming program has a budget of 3 million ILV, which equates to 30% of the maximum supply of 10 million. What is the Illuvium Token (ILV)?
The Illuvium crypto is an ERC-20 token that can be used in different ways within the Illuvium game and its ecosystem.
There are two types of token on Illuvium: ILV and sILV.
ILV rewards must be held for one year, but the sILV token can be used immediately to play the game. The combined supply of ILV and sILV will never exceed 7 million. Additionally, 3 million will be distributed as staking rewards. Thus, the total supply of tokens of two types will be 10 million tokens. The circulating supply will decrease as users stake their tokens.
The Illuvium token (ILV) has three main uses:
Users who move ILV or sILV tokens (ERC-20) must pay an Ethereum gas fee. Since Ethereum can have high transaction fees, users are still waiting for Illuvium's solution which should make transactions more affordable. However, by the end of 2022, Ethereum's move to Ethereum 2.0 could alleviate this problem.
The sILV token
Illuvium has a unique reward system for its Yield farming activity. All Yield Farm ILV rewards are locked for one year before they can be withdrawn.
However, users who don't want to wait can convert ILV rewards into a secondary in-game asset called sILV. Thus, they have the option to claim their rewards as sILV and receive the equivalent in USD. They can also spend their rewards earlier to purchase in-game assets.
The sILV token cannot be withdrawn from play, as it is not presented as a blockchain-based asset.
Illuvium Price Predictions
The price of Illuvium can be determined by a combination of speculation on the success of the game as well as its usefulness in staking.
As of this writing, the price of the ILV token is $572.40, and it is ranked 174th on CoinGecko. Illuvium has a total supply of 10 million. The price analysis shows that the price of the token could reach $2300 during 2022.
How to buy Illuvium?
ILV is available on most major crypto exchanges including Binance, KuCoin, Crypto.com, SushiSwap, Gate.io and others.
To buy Illuvium, you must have an account on one of the crypto exchanges that list the ILV token.
However, note that you will need to transfer your ILV funds to a crypto wallet if you want to staking them later or just prefer to keep them safe. If you already have your crypto funds in a wallet, it would be better for you to buy ILV directly from it, using a DEX such as SushiSwap (ILV/WETH).

1- Register on a crypto exchange
First, you need to open an account on Binance (or any other exchange of your choice).
Once your Binance account is confirmed, you will be able to log into it.
2- Verify your account
Next, to enable credit and debit card purchases on Binance, you must complete the identity verification process.
To do this, go to “User Account” (top right), then to “Identification”. Here you can see the current verification level of your account.
Under each option, you can see the benefits you will receive after verifying your account. These may vary from country to country.
Now click on “Start Now”.
Here you have to go through all the steps of the identification process. This includes the country of residence. Then, you will be asked for a list of documents depending on the country chosen.
In general, most crypto exchanges will ask you for the following documents:
Note that it is important to provide the necessary documents and to ensure that they all carry information consistent with your identity document. In addition, you will not be able to modify your identity document after having sent it for the first time.
After following the steps above and providing the necessary information, the Binance team will review your documents. Your account will be approved once all items are verified.
3- Buy Illuvium tokens (ILV) with a credit/debit card
Once your Binance account is verified, you can purchase Illuvium Tokens (ILV) using your credit or debit card.
To buy cryptocurrencies on Binance, go to “Buy Crypto” (top left), then to “Credit/Debit Card”.
As of this writing, you cannot purchase Illuvium (ILV) directly. You must therefore start by buying one of the cryptocurrencies available on the exchange. Here are some of the pairs available on Binance:
For this demonstration, we will buy Bitcoin (BTC) and then exchange it for ILV tokens. That said, be aware that you can buy any token associated with ILV.
Look for the BTC option in the drop-down list, then enter the desired amount. Finally, click on “Continue”, then add your card as a payment method. Go ahead and buy the funds.
4- Convert your BTC into Illuvium tokens (ILV)
To complete the process and finally buy ILV tokens, you need to convert the crypto you bought in step 3 to ILV or trade it on the “Markets” tab.
Now go to “Markets” and then search for the ILV token in the search box.
Here you will find spot prices in BUSD, USDT, BNB and BTC. Now click on the crypto pair you bought in step 3 (BTC in our case).
You will then be redirected to the ILV/BTC trading page.
Next, you need to scroll down to set a buy order for ILV/BTC on Binance. It should look like the image below
After defining the amount of ILV tokens you want to buy and the price you want to pay for each token, click on the “Buy ILV” button to confirm your order. When the fixed price is reached, the order will be automatically executed.
However, if you want to buy the ILV tokens as soon as possible, you can do so by clicking on the “Markets” tab (top left, under Spot). Thus, you will only have to enter the amount of ILV tokens you wish to buy to obtain them instantly at the market price.
If you placed a market order, you will find the ILV tokens in your account right after it is executed. If you chose to buy at market price, you will find them instantly in your account. Finally, to check your Binance account balance, you can go to Wallet (top right), then to “Fiat and Spot”.
Staking Illuvium
You can stake your Illuvium tokens (ILV) directly from your wallet. The wallets compatible with ILV are MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, Trezor, Fortmatic, Portis and Torus.
1- Connect your wallet
First, go to staking.illuvium.io, and connect the wallet in which you deposited your Illuvium tokens (ILV).
After connecting your wallet, you will see the options available for staking ILV tokens.
2- Go to Core Pools
Now click on “Stake” and then on “Core pools”. Currently, there are two pools dedicated to staking ILV tokens.
To “stake” your Illuvium tokens (ILV), choose the first option called “Stake”.
Here you can choose the number of ILV tokens to stake. You also have the option to choose between “flexible mode” or “locked mode”.
If you choose the “flexible mode”, your annual return will be lower, but you can withdraw your ILV tokens at any time. However, if you want to generate higher income with staking, you can choose locked mode. This will lock your tokens for a duration ranging from a week to a year, and your annual rate of return will, of course, be higher.
After selecting the desired amount of ILV tokens to stake, your chosen mode (Flexible/Locked), and the duration of the lock (if you choose the locked mode), click on “Stake”, then confirm the transaction on the blockchain , from your wallet.
3- Collect your staking rewards in ILV or sILV
You can collect your rewards in the form of ILV or sILV tokens. That said, note that ILV rewards are locked for one year, and sILV tokens are game-only tokens that can be used immediately after being claimed.
4-Remove locked funds
Users can see their rewards in the Vesting tab. All rewards are subject to a 12 month lock-in period before they can be withdrawn.
Will Illuvium be the world's first AAA P2E game?
Illuvium was originally slated for release in Q4 2021. However, last August, project co-founder Kieran Warwick announced the postponement of the launch date to 2022. Additionally, the team plans to launch a mobile app and a version game console.
With the launch of Illuvium's staking platform, the game has already attracted a lot of attention, interest and above all, trading volume on crypto exchanges.
