American senators require an investigation into the Kelery of Ks Saed

Three members of the American Congress - Rashida Tlaib, Tom Malinowski, and Gerald Edward Connolly - sent correspondence to the American Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, Friday September 24, 2021, demanding several investigations to determine if the decisions of the chief of theState were a "coup d'etat".

Rashida Tlaib, Tom Malinowski, and Gerald Edward Connolly refer to the decisions announced by the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, since July 25.

Stressing their deep concern, the three members of the Congress said that if the coup is proven, it would be necessary to identify the officials, civilians or military who would have supported the President of the Republic in his project.

They also called upon to investigate a possible recourse to military justice to persecute civilians and members of the Parliament and determine whether the decisions of Kaïs Saïed constituted a violation of the aid agreements between Tunisia and the United States noting theNeed to suspend all American military aid if it is proven.
