It must be said that the ex-international at 7 (91 selections), trained in Béziers and then passed through Racing 92, Bayonne and Sua, is now flourishing with the project of a life, his business Maju nutrition, founded withA friend and partner, while validating in parallel a Master 2 in Business Manager Strategy and International Development in the prestigious Toulouse Business School.Interview with this young entrepreneur who has follow -ups in ideas.

News: How do you live your recent end of career?

Julien Jané: Frankly, the transition was not difficult, because I prepared myself a lot and I have well anticipated my retraining.Afterwards, it is true that it remains complicated to change their life and above all to stop one, that of professional rugby player.I went through moving periods, but I also made a reason.Whatever happens, we know that we all have a date of expiration, so as much to prepare for its transition.

We often speak of "little death" when a high -level sportsman stops his career, but that does not seem to be your case...

J.J: If I tell you no, it would be lying.Obviously these are a lot of memories, emotions and past moments, because it was an incredible life at 300 km/h.We do not realize the density and richness of what we can live when you are professional rugby player. When everything stops, it is certain that we are afraid of this lack and that we don't really know how it will happen.Even if we have anticipated and we started to set foot in the other world, we still have a part of doubt and fear. But overall, I'm happy and I really have no regrets, because I needed to hang up the crampons.

Precisely, what are the reasons that pushed you to say stop?

Interview Julien Jané :

J.J: Physically, I could have continued, I was capable of it, but it was especially mentally that I didn't want to.I wanted to do something else.I always told myself that as soon as the pleasure would begin to disappear, I would stop and I would turn to another project which would flourish me more.Mentally, I was no longer able to continue rugby at high level. This requires a requirement that I could no longer reach.Rugby also evolves in one direction and I, as a man, I have evolved in another, so I had to do something else.Above all, I really wanted to get into my projects and in the entrepreneurial world that bring me comparable emotions. So I felt that it was the right time to stop.I didn't want to do the season over. It's better to stop as long as you are not too broken and it still goes about continuing and running out of steam, even if my last season at Sua is not very wellPassed at the accounting level, I keep excellent memories.

In this regard, do you keep a touch of bitterness to have completed your career with such a chaotic season?

J.J: It was sure that it would have been better to finish in other circumstances, but that's how...What I remember above all are all the people I could meet and meet in Agen and who brought me a lot, whether players, staff members, administrative staff or supporters. All these people allowed me to evolve and build myself as a man.I therefore keep these beautiful encounters and these good memories rather than the last two gallery seasons that we have been able to live.

Do you plan to take a license at the amateur level in a club in the Agen, as a player or manager?

J.J: No, it's not at all in my plans.Resume an amateur player license, it is certain that it is no.Afterwards, if I have to lend a hand, I will do it, even if I do not have the skills or the capacities to do it.Train either, it never interested me.

Now tell us about your new professional life and the launch of your Maju company (contraction of eating just)...

J.J: This is a story of friendship between a Biterrois dietitian friend, Matthias Vidal, and myself. We have known each other since the age of 13 and we played rugby together in Béziers (Pro D2).After having prematurely stopped his professional career due to repeated injuries, he devoted himself to his passion, nutrition, by opening his dietitian cabinet in Béziers.During my career, he has always followed me and advised on the requirement of nutrition linked to professional athletes. And it has been a long time since we have noted difficulties and arduousness to count calories and weigh food.Suddenly, one fine day, we said to ourselves that we had to invent something to simplify the food balance, so that everyone can wait for their goals more easily, without taking the lead.Hence the birth of Maju nutrition, almost two and a half years ago.

Concretely, how is your Maju nutrition concept present?

J.J: We have filed a patent and we have a website (Maju-Nutrition.com) with an algorithm that allows you to generate personalized nutritional programs in order to best support users. The principle is simple. The user goes to our website and performs an assessment by answering several questions about their eating habits and objectives.A note follows. It allows you to assess the user, but above all to progress. Then, we send it our main element, a compartmentalized and adjustable bowl, as well as a personalized nutritional program which will allow it to achieve its easily and durably objectives. Our bowl allows you to automatically compose a perfectly suited and balanced meal to your needs.Suddenly, it allows you to no longer have to weigh food and count the calories. It is enough to eat in the bowl which itself regulates the good quantities and rations adapted to our own needs. It is an innovative solution to eat just and the first pre-sales have just been launched on our e-commerce site.
