Iran: the happy celebrations of the Persian New Year
Norouz (no, "new" + Rouz, "day", meaning "new day") has been celebrated for at least 3,000 years and is deeply rooted among the rituals and traditions of zoroastrism.Today, Norouz's feast is celebrated in many countries that have been territories or have been influenced by the Persian Empire: apart from Iran, we can cite Kurdistan, Afghanistan, parts of the parts ofMiddle East as well as in the former Soviet republics of Tadjikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.The party is also celebrated by the Zoroastrians Parsis and the Hindu of the Cashmere valley which call the Navreh party in India or the Salars, in the province of Qinghai, in China.
